Grand River Records started with a pretty simple idea: create the kind of place where I’d actually want to spend my days.

I wanted a place where I could end the day feeling like I’d accomplished something, without it ever really feeling like work – surrounded by good music and interesting people.

A place where nobody is in a hurry. Where you can flip through the bins, find the record you came in looking for and leave with three you didn’t know you wanted.

Grab a coffee. Talk music. Discover something new. Rediscover something you’d completely forgotten you loved.

There’ll be new releases, old favourites, hidden gems and a few records I know I’ll struggle to part with.

I want Grand River Records to feel like it belongs here in Elora. Small. Independent. Local. Welcoming. A little nostalgic, without being stuck in the past. And just obsessed enough with music to make things interesting.

Mostly, I want it to be the kind of place you stop into for a record and somehow realize you’ve been there for an hour.
